Our History

In the Fall of 2017, the Jamaica Arts Council (JAC) partnered with A Better Jamaica to launch “Art to the People” -- a public art effort that brings the art of Jamaica based/focused artists to the people of Jamaica via the eighteen LinkNYC Links that line Jamaica Avenue from Sutphin Boulevard to 168th Street.

We're proud of the work of these Jamaica based/focused artists and are excited to share their work with those who live/school/work in Jamaica or are just visiting.

Meet the Team

Here are a few of the folks who are responsible for selecting artists whose work featured in Art to the People. They include the artists whose work we have previously featured.
